One of only a handful of photographs taken of the woolly devil (Ovicula biradiata) in the field before the plants dried up and have not been seen again. In this issue Lichter Marck et al. report successfully growing O. biradiata from seeds to make observations of their reproductive biology, UV reflectance, and chromosome number. They also report a preliminary range extension for the woolly devil of over 100 km from an observation uploaded to inaturalist. pdf
